The Foundry Cinema & Bowl
Looking for a little après ski away from the typical bar scene? We love The Foundry Cinema & Bowl for a fun night out of bowling, movies and entertainment for all ages.
With two movie screens, eight lanes of bowling billiards, shuffle board and a full service bar, you won’t run definitely short of things to do.
Chances are, once you walk through the doors of the Foundry Cinema and Bowl, you’re going to be there for a while, so you should probably plan on grabbing some food for your group.
The Foundry’s stone-baked pizzas are awesome, and can be enjoyed in the bowling lounges or in the movie theaters, alongside your favorite beverage.
So let’s talk about those movie theaters. If I’m honest, I’ve never been terribly comfortable in the somewhat restrictive seating of typical movie theaters….that was until I took a trip to the Foundry Cinema & Bowl.
I’m not kidding when I say that the Foundry offers a different type of experience for movie goers.
First off, there’s the plush, oversized stadium style seats that a) are blessedly free of the irritating flip-up base, and b) come with an extendable snack table and drink holder – wow.
The theaters themselves have all the high tech bells ‘n’ whistles and latest releases doing the rounds at larger cinemas, but only seat around 80 movie-goers, allowing for a more intimate viewing of your favorite flick.
Last but not least, movie goers are actively encouraged bring a slice of that special stone-baked pizza, or a glass (yes, real glass) of their favorite beverage into the theater to enjoy during the screening.
Clearly I’m a fan of the Foundry Cinema & Bowl, but you really should stop in to check it for yourself on your next visit to Winter Park, CO.
