Christmas time at Winter Park Resort! There is no way better to spend your holidays in the Colorado Rockies than with family, friends, skiing and enjoying the wonderful outdoors.
The photo to the left is the annual Winter Park Resort Christmas Torchlight Parade. The night begins with Christmas carols at the bonfire at the base of Winter Park Resort, by the Zephyr lift. Around 5:30PM, a procession of torch carrying skiers head down Lower Hughes trail, followed by Santa and his elves. A spectacular fireworks display and snow-cats adorned with Christmas colors light up the slopes in a Christmas tree formation to conclude the festivities. Immediately after the show at 6:30PM, guests are welcome to attend Christmas Eve services. Services will be in the lower level of the Balcony House and Catholic Church services located in West Portal Level 4. Services are scheduled to last about an hour.
