Carve Out Hope is all about fun in the sun and supporting our community! Join in on the fun on April 12th for a springtime celebration benefiting the Grand Foundation’s H.O.P.E. Fund. Enjoy a free concert from Rob Drabkin, the Bucket Banked Slalom, and resources for mental wellness. This event is all day and free!

Bucket Banked Slalom
The annual banked slalom snowboard race and silent auction fundraiser in honor of Winter Park Competition Center alum, Ben Lynch (born and raised in Grand County). What is a banked slalom race? A banked slalom is a snowboard race held on a curvy course, with tight banked turns. One racer runs the course at a time, and each racer gets two runs. Best of two is the time used for final results. All proceeds benefit the Grand Foundation H.O.P. E. (Healing Opportunities through Prevention Efforts.

Costume Contest
Put on your JNCO Jeans, spruce up your mullet, and make your way to the stage for our yearly throwback costume contest at 4pm. Ensure you’re registered at the 90’s snack bar by 3:30pm to secure your spot on the list. Grand prize of $500!

High Fives Foundation Retro Shred-A-Thon
Participate to raise as much money as you can and have some fun throwing it back to the 90s during the third weekend of Spring Bash + Splash. Prizes will be awarded for a variety of categories with all funds raised going directly to the healing efforts of athletes that have suffered life-changing injuries.

Registration
Participation for the pond skim is open to the public ages 18+. Registration is in-person only and will be open at 8am in Balcony House at the Winter Park base area. Registration is limited to the first 100 participants.
