Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding in Winter Park, CO

Winter park resort information

Winter Park Resort, Colorado

It's not called Colorado's Favorite for nothing.   Only 70 miles from Denver, Winter Park Resort has been the Colorado local's favorite escape to the mountains ever since the massive seven-mile Moffat Tunnel was constructed in the 1920's, the first major link between Denver to the Western Slope.

Since then, Winter Park has grown into one of the state's largest ski areas, with over 3000 acres of greatly varied terrain, and some of the longest ski runs you'll find in Colorado.   From the world famous moguls of Mary Jane, to the magic carpet assisted bunny slopes, there's something for everyone at Winter Park Resort.

Ski Granby Ranch

Just thirty minutes from Winter Park, Granby Ranch is a smaller ski area than Winter Park Resort and a great place to teach younger children to ski.

It's much smaller, but the plus side of that is that you'll find smaller crowds during peak times, and enjoy a more affordable ticket price for a day on the slopes.

While Ski Granby Ranch does not have the legendary bumps of Mary Jane or the variety of terrain of Winter Park Resort, it does have night skiing on the weekends.
